In January 2021, CBC launched a major, rolling programme of free opportunities for talented under-represented writers, funded by Curtis Brown Group, its agents and valued partners.
In its first five years, the programme provided substantial mentoring, courses, events and scholarships to over 290 writers.
Now Curtis Brown Creative self-funds the central Breakthrough programme or scholarships and mentoring. We’re also proud to work with valued partners to support talented writers. Scholarship sponsors have ranged from corporate sponsors to well-known authors – to former students of our courses who want to gift someone else the experience they themselves benefited from.
If you’re interested in partnering with us to provide a scholarship or want to know more about the work we’re doing through the Breakthrough Writers’ Programme, please get in touch with us via help@curtisbrowncreative.co.uk.
