Alex Hay

Alex Hay is a bestselling author based in London. His debut novel The Housekeepers was a Waterstones Thriller Book of the Month and a Paperback of the Year. He is also the author of The Queen of Fives, which was published to great acclaim. Alex grew up in Cambridge and Cardiff and now lives near Crystal Palace with his husband. His upcoming novel The Midnight Guests will be published in 2026, and he is currently working on his next book. Alex studied on our three-month Writing Your Novel course in 2015, he was taught by Erin Kelly.
