During this 60-minute Q&A, Sarah will talk about her latest non-fiction book Verb Your Enthusiasm, her approach to storytelling and other insights into the writing process.
Verb Your Enthusiasm is a clarion call for all of us to get back to basics: to mean what we say and say what we mean. Drawing on her experience as a dance critic, Sarah L. Kaufman illuminates how all of us, professional writers and enthusiasts alike, can master the art of the verb. Kaufman proves how strong verbs can make your own writing – be it an email, a text, a report, or an ad – more efficient and effective, and she investigates theories of language that will change how you read and write.
All ticket-holders will be invited to submit a question for Sarah ahead of time. The most interesting and frequently asked questions will be curated and put forward to Sarah by CBC's Head of Courses Jennifer Kerslake. This event will be ‘webinar style’ with Sarah and Jennifer appearing live on-screen, attendees will not appear on the screen however they will be able to post comments in a chat box.
